Laurelle Olsen, MS, LMFT



Laurelle Olsen, MS, LMFT is a member of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians.

She received her Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from North Central University, and her Masters of Science (MS) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University. She is currently working toward her Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Family Social Science, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Minnesota.

She works with individuals of all ages, as well as couples and families. She specializes in the following areas: Adults with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), child & adolescent psychiatric disorders, and couples’ therapy.

She provides support and advocacy in a non-judgmental and non-deterministic, healing manner. She believes that individuals and families (co)create their own meaning of “normal” functioning and works with them from within their own life world. She helps individuals and families identify and overcome barriers to achieving inner peace and their present goals.
