Herb Grant, MA, LMFT


 

Herb is a Tlingit Indian from Southeast Alaska. He received his

Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology and a Post-Masters Certificate in

Family Psychology from the University of St. Thomas.

 

Currently he is a doctoratal candidate in the Family Social Science Department at the University of Minnesota, with interests in historical trauma and mental

health with urban American Indians.

 

Herb is an approved supervisor with the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy and was recently appointed to the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. Herb has received the Colleagues Award from the Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

 

Herb has worked with the local American Indian community in

Minneapolis for over a decade.

 

Currently he consults with the Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center and the Native American Community Clinic.

 

Herb is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Saint Mary’s. As licensed marriage & family therapist, Herb has worked providing outpatient psychotherapy to adults and children in both clinic and private practice settings.

 

Herb provides therapy in the areas of depression, anxiety, domestic violence, chemical dependency and relationship issues.
